How can the results of scientific research be applied in real life? The Hong Kong-based International Food Company Lee Kum Kee is trying to use high-quality stress-tolerant soybeans, an important output of Prof. Hon-ming Lam's soybean research projects, as raw materials in their production line. A visit to the Lee Kum Kee's factory in Xinhui, China is organized in September for participants to peek into the story behind. The participants were introduced on how soybeans were transformed into the must-have soysauce products in every family, what is the role of technology in the process, and how entrepreneurs could join hands with scientists and local farmers in product development, as well as fulfilling social responsibilities.
